SURFACE - Organic cotton fabric with a special 550 thread count weave that's impenetrable by dust mites and other allergens. (The fabric has a mean flow pore diameter of 3.5 microns as compared with the size of a dust mite - 10 microns.)

Organic Kapok

Kapok fiber grows from the pods of the kapok tree (ceiba pentandra). Also known as "silk cotton," kapok fiber has one-fifth the density of cotton, adding a light and fluffy feel to our pillows. The fiber is also resistant to water, helping wick away moisture for a more comfortable sleep. Naturepedic uses only certified organic kapok, ensuring fair treatment of workers and environmental sustainability of our tropical forests. It is grown without toxins, synthetic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or GMO’s (genetically modified organisms).
